Melina Kanakaredes, an American actress is known for her portrayals of Dr. Sydney Hansen in the NBC drama "Providence" as well as Dr. Lane Hunter in the The Resident, a medical drama.' She is also most well-known as the character of the role of detective Stella Bonasera on CBS's police procedural drama 'CSI NY" with the role of Dr. Lane Hunter at the medical drama The Resident.' Her first major role in the series in the role of Eleni andros Cooper on the CBS soap opera "Guiding Light" was also well-respected. She's appeared in a variety of movies that include '15 Minutes','Percy, Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief and 'Snitch.
